Motion Design Breakdown Reel
This reel takes a closer look at how I build motion design work across a range of productions, from cinematic VFX and documentary television to music videos, experimental animation, and commercial advertising.
Featured projects include The Velvet Abstract, an award-winning short theatrical film;; Life After People, a television documentary; Stardust, a music video for the song by Raj Ramayya; The Brighter Tomorrow Program, an experimental short video; and Eldorado, a mobile game advertisement created for PeopleFun/AppLovin.
The breakdowns follow the work from initial artwork and concept development through compositing, layer separation, scene construction, animation, and final polish. They show how static artwork is prepared and organized for motion, how layered environments are constructed, and how design, timing, depth, and movement come together in the finished composite.
I created the visual design and motion for these pieces, including compositing, animation, 2.5D parallax environment construction, campaign graphics, logo and UI design, and final production.
The reel is intended to make the creative and technical process visible, from the earliest building blocks through the finished animation.
